A former friend and I had a severe falling out. She heavily identified with wolves. She also claims to have the particular ability to enter other people's dreams...

I was in the bedroom of my house, in bed, when I noticed something moving outside. I looked out the window and saw a wolf passing about 10 feet away. Normally the window is about 6 feet off the ground, but in the dream, the sash was level with the ground.

The wolf paused when it saw me, and came toward the window. For a moment, it just stared in at me. Without warning it lunged, hitting the screen and breaking the glass. I punched the wolf's snout through the screen, and it backed off and ran away. I remember feeling relieved. I think for a while I went back into deep sleep, without dreaming.

However a few minutes later, the wolf came back. This time it had brought another wolf. Together they started throwing themselves against the screen, and as soon as the screen started ripping they began forcing their paws and snouts through the tears. I picked up a piece of glass from the broken window and held it like a dagger and tried to stab the wolves in the eyes. At one point I realized my hand was bleeding from the edges of the glass. For a long time, all I saw was a whirl of insane scratching and gnashing teeth. The wolves were savage, driven to fury and I could hardly repel them. I could smell them, and their bloodlust. I was really getting scared, because I knew that whatever happened, I could not let them get in my house.

Somehow, during all this, I realized that I must be dreaming and that I needed to wake up. Then I did. For several days though, I was really shaken. Eventually I ended up burning some letters and other things from the former friend.
